USS LCI(L)-92 was laid down at Orange, Tex. by the Consolidated Ship Building Co. 9 November 1942; launched 3 January 1943; and commissioned 13 February 1943; and reported for duty with LCI(L) Flotilla 4.
Assigned to the European Theater, LCI(L)-92 was struck by a mine at Omaha beach on D-Day and beached. Unsalvagable, LCI(L)-92 was struck from the Navy list on 13 November 1944.
LCI(L)-92 was awarded one battle star for service in World War II.
